  when “nice guys” expect to remove every trace of initiative, confrontation, and self confidence, it’s not an endearing trait, especially when they expect to thereafter win over girls who want their “lovable, comforting charm,” who “recognize that they’ll always be there for her.” I’m not one of those dudes that proposes you become some sort of weird roissy-spawn, but at the same time, be cool and nice for the sake of being cool and nice.

  If you want a relationship, that stuff’s invaluable, yeah, but at the same time, you have to remember that a girl doesn’t want a faithful puppy, so you guys shouldn’t be molding yourselves in that image. A relationship’s a healthy, reciprocated bond between two individuals, and it’s not defined by giving in to every whim, or smothering one with “love.”

    Considering the beginning of your first paragraph, I think it’s still alright to get a bit of an attitude shift with some roissy but keep some of the other nice guy areas
