You are incredibly ignorant. Apparently you have had such an isolated academic experience to provide you with the inaccurate and highly naive perception that “all you need to go into English is an interest”.

I would rather hire an English major who is smart enough to learn the math concept than a physics major who can’t speak without awkwardly staring at his feet. The mathematics-minded people should be shut up in a lab while the English major secures the deal and charms the client.

You are as expendable as an outdated tech device. I cant wait for your undergrad vocational training to be rendered irrelevant within the decade. The ability to persuade, manipulate, read critically, write intellectually transcends time. The rush to get a “sexy” job immediately after undergrad is the short-sighted fodder of fools (named Horatio).

If it’s any consolation though, I’m Econ + Finance and have not been happy with my academic experience. I’m sure yours was better, and that eventually, you will land on your feet.
