it’s not “half” it’s the same 5-10% that like to complain and want to have people take pity on them.
except people that post real fml’s. that is just a bad string of events that they share for our entertainment. does not mean their lives are miserable.
Are you serious? A few reasons why you’re lucky:
1. Over 90% of the people who want to be at Princeton don’t get to be at Princeton.
2. Our campus is fucking beautiful, and if you think otherwise, you’ve been spoiled and could never survive in the dorms of the state school most of my friends went to and that I thought I’d be going to.
3. Our professors are mindblowingly brilliant.
4. Our school color isn’t brown.
5. there are so many people in the world whose lives actually are miserable as hell and who will never even get a high school education, much go to Princeton.
6. free laundry, free beer
that’s exactly why i don’t like it. i hate country clubs. this is a bit like disney land, but i’m a fucking adult and i want the real world not dream land
Sucks for you. You really should learn to appreciate it. Yeah, its hard, and yeah, sometimes you don’t sleep for a week, but as cliche as it is, it’s the opportunity of the lifetime. All things considered, I’m with OP.
ehh most of the times i’m miserable it’s because of all the douchebags on campus. @12, alot of those characteristics apply to..dozens of universities. Princeton, however, has an exceedingly disproportionate # of douchebags.
ppl complain all the time, but seriously, there is no other school I’d rather be. Princeton is amazing!

Here’s the problem with Princeton: Everybody’s got this obsession with saving the world before they’re 25. I feel totally worthless just because I don’t want to study abroad, I don’t care about international politics, and I don’t feel the need to waste Princeton’s money traveling to Africa to crunch some useless numbers and have my picture taking with an African baby so I can post it to Facebook and brag about it.

Perhaps this person isn’t quite as miserable as you are? Because he/she doesn’t let grades/whatever determine his/her own self worth?

Oh, boo hoo, you live in a country club, have access to brilliant professors and students, and have all your needs taken care of by default.
And printing is free. FYL
